Telluride Resort, a high-class public ski resort, was put up by Joseph Zoline from scratch, to create a famous”world-class” ski resort. The resort is located in a remote area of the Colorado Mountains, which makes the Telluride Resort unusual and extraordinary.
During the summertime, Telluride Resort is popular for its top-notch festivals. Telluride Resort also has outdoor adventure rides and spas located at the San Juans and offers golf, hiking, and extreme sports such as sky gliding and bungee jumping.
Colorado’s mountain village has views of the town of Telluride and surrounding mountains. The Telluride Resort has 120 ski runs and more than 2000 acres of skiable landscape. Almost 23% of Telluride’s runs are considered Beginner runs; medium covers 36% of its runs and Advanced runs cover 41%.
The mountains of Telluride collect an average of 309 inches of snow every winter. All of its mountain lifts usually close at 4 pm, while upper mountain areas close earlier for the safety of skiers.
The Telluride Resort has significantly enlarged its skiing area during the past few years. This has been a result of the continuous business of customers, both locally and internationally. Some of the additional skiing areas are: the Prospect Bowl, which opened in 2002 and has doubled the area of skiable terrains; Black Iron Bowl, which was inaugurated during the Skiing Competition in 2007-2008; and the Revelation Bowl, which opened two years ago.
