Mumbai, 4 Nov 2010:  Mussourie is called the Queen of the Hills and rightly so. Easily accessible by road and rail from Delhi, it is the ideal please for an extended weekend getaway. Though the town is liberally sprinkled with hotels to suit every budget, Avalon is definitely one of the better ones. The location is very strategic, a little away from the main Mall road, which one can consider both a blessing and a curse.
It is perched on top of a small hillock, with the rooms on different layers. The short climb from the Mall road is very steep and not for those averse to some strenuous exercise…The food was very good, and so where the rooms. The rooms especially were enormous and very comfortable. The kids got to sleep alone and they loved that bit.

New Delhi, 19 Oct 2010: The hotel is on top of a hill in Mussorie. This vacation in october we visited the resort. The climb from the main mall road to the hotel is very steep and seasoned drivers must only tread. This steep climb of approx 1/2 a km apart, the hotel itself has beautiful views of the mountain range around. The air is cleaner and the chill in the air soothing.

India, 6 July 2010:  Stayed at Avalon Resorts for 3 days in June end. We were a small group of extended family with young kids. Enjoyed the stay. Found the place quite clean and green. Excellent location – probably one of the best for this kind of place. Very near to the Mall road, and yet away from hustle bustle of the town. We had parents with us, so requested the hotel staff to allocate one room near the reception area, and they obliged happily. The only drawback was the steep hike to reach the place. However, the shuttle service provided by the resort (for a small charge) really helped.
